It would be great if you could compile
a list of things you would like checked or better documentation
for.

OK, will do.

Have you been following the replacement firmware thread too? It's
interesting how they want to strip Java down or make a better bytecode
interpreter.

Yes, on the surface. People always want to improve on things in their own
pet directions (hence my own interest in FORTH). The RCX firmware support
for downloading a new OS really helps here.

I still think that once pbFORTH gets the momentum, and
a better environment (Tcl based so it runs anywhere) it will
be a really neat bit of work, and usefl in educational courses.

Yes, I am finding HyperTerminal aa bbiitt lliimmiittiinngg, but haven't
done anything towards my Delphi based IDE apart from compile a wishlist.

I find kids pick up basic FORTH concepts faster than adults...

I hadn't come across that. I found my 10 year old son (who technically
owns half of our MindStorms) found the LEGO RIS block software easy to
understand, and he produced a couple of programs, but the limitations on
programming and the non-immediacy of interaction of the robot meant that
he dropped it pretty quickly and now concentrates on the mechanical side.
I hadn't even considered showing him FORTH because of the convoluted
process involved in getting it into the RCX.
