Dave Baum is right (and he wrote the language, so he should know :-). The
language IS the same across environments. Your problem is a version one:
you apparently have the older 1.x version of the compiler on the PC:
upgrade it to 2.x and all will be well. Look at

http://www.enteract.com/~dbaum/nqc/info/NQC_New.html

for a description of what changed in in the language betweem 1.x and 2.x.
There were a lot of changes (including your until <=> wait example).

I recently received  The Unofficial Guide to LEGOÆ MINDSTORMSô Robots
By Jonathan B. Knudsen.  When I downloaded the programs off the internet to
use with the book, they would not compile.  I had to change a lot of the code
and the program then would not work with the robot.
That book uses version 2.0b1 of the language, and again, there were lots
of changes from 1.x versions, as detailed on the web page above. You were
trying to compile it on a 1.x compiler, I bet.

Upgrade your compilers to the latest version on both platforms, throw
away the modified code, re-download the programs for the book, and
they'll work without modification on either platform, interchangeably.

Hope this helps,

Dave Johnson
