If you need motors, check out toys. They are clearing out their stock (I've heard April they're outa-here) and everything is on sale. The 8735 Technic motor kit was 24.?? last time I looked. Shipping is a tad steep, so you may want to get several at a time. This kit comes with a battery box, a few gears, wheels, axles, and an interesting 'clutch' gear that allows the motor to keep spinning if the load stops.
