  IR Tower problems

I am trying to get nqc 3.1 r1 working on my Slackware 9.1 box using Linux kernel 2.6.11.2. When I plug the IR Tower into my USB port, it's recognized. This is what I get from dmesg: hub 2-0:1.0: state 5 ports 3 chg 0000 evt 0002 ohci_hcd (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi David, (...) these are the log messages from the USB core, but I don't see any from the driver, are you sure the driver is loaded? Somewhere on the LEGO site it says that Serial > USB is not compatable -- If you must, why not just buy a USB IR tower from PITSCO LEGODacta for $30? (...) The one-byte messages supported by the RCX are not generally designed to go from the RCX to the PC. They are intended to go from the PC to the RCX, or from one RCX to another.
