If you're talking about a _Lego_ 9V train, it's the same adaptor.

I've used my AC adapter from my 9V trains and I've had no problems. I think you can you any old adapter just make sure that you don't put too much current into the RCX or bye,bye.... E-mail lego about it, I did once to find out how much current the (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
