Hello,
In this mail I want to advertise my Lego emulator, again. This
emulates a Lego RCX brick on hardware level, so it should run any
firmware you like. You can find it at this URL:
http://csd.informatik.uni-oldenburg.de/~hoenicke/rcx/
It can emulate multiple RCXes communicating via infrared and there is
a virtual Lego remote control. It emulates in real-time as long as
your computer is fast enough.
Besides emulating it also has full debugging support (via gdb), prints
symbolic stack traces on memory faults, and gives exact profiling
information telling how much cycles each function or interrupt
handler consumed.
It has some brickOS specific features, namely memory, program and
thread dumps and fast loading of lx executables. But it should work
with other firmware, too.
It was tested under linux and windows. For windows you need to make
sure you have cygwin (with gcc, perl) and tcl/tk installed. Under
linux you also need gcc,perl,tcl/tk, which come with you favourite
distributions.
If you try it, please send me feedback.
Regards,
Jochen
