Hi all,

I want to make a program on my laptop so that I can use it (the laptop that
is) as a remote control to give orders to my Mindstorm robot, just simple
things like turn left/right etc. I'm going to use Java on my laptop, Lejos
on the RCX and probably rcxcomm for communications (or is there a better
way?).
My question is this: can I use the built in IR in my laptop, or do I have to
use the IR-tower? The distance is only a few centimetres. If this can be
done, does anyone have any tips on how to set it up? I'm using Linux as
operating system.

    /Anders
