  Re: BrickOS Patches and Development

Hi, (...) I had worked to assimilate those patches prior to the second version of the performance patch being posted, so I'm glad to hear that it also works well. (...) When I went back through to add TCP support to other things, that "similar but (...) (15 years ago, 4-Apr-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: BrickOS Patches and Development

Hello, 2009/3/31 Carl Troein <carl@thep.lu.se>: (...) For some unknown reason the address suddenly pointed to the old server again which was shutdown in December last year. I noticed it myself only by chance. It seems that the dyndns record has (...) (15 years ago, 31-Mar-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: BrickOS Patches and Development

(...) Case in point: when I first started on this post some weeks(!) ago, hoenicke.ath.cx wasn't responding. (...) And it's not getting easier if we've collected different sets of patches and then make further changes based on those... So yeah, we (...) (15 years ago, 31-Mar-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: NQC Linux Support - USB and TCP

(...) Matthew, Thanks for your patch for NQC. I will look at adding this to the official sourcecode and creating a new official release. John Hansen (15 years ago, 17-Mar-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

NQC Linux Support - USB and TCP

For those interested, I have posted a patch to SourceForge for NQC at (URL) . This patch includes several changes, most of which are related to Linux, though portions may be of use to other platforms. * Removed the dependency of (...) (15 years ago, 11-Mar-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  BrickOS Patches and Development

Greetings, This is a follow up to earlier postings discussing the development status of BrickOS. While the Sourceforge project has not had much activity of late, I've come across various modifications that, unfortunately, have never made it (...)   BricxCC & NBC/NXC collaboration

I finally got around to uploading all the BricxCC and NBC/NXC source code to an SVN repository on the BricxCC project page on sourceforge.net. Now all my code changes are done via my local checkout from that repository and changes are checked in as (...)   Re: NQC for Linux/ASUS eeePC

(...) What I said had less to do with programming as it had to do with understanding your new Linux-based PC. Do you know how to use Linux from a command prompt? Can you open a terminal window on your eeePC and type "gcc" and see what happens? I (...) (15 years ago, 2-Feb-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: NQC for Linux/ASUS eeePC

(...) Um... I'm sorry, planes flying overhead. :) I literally am on the cusp of understanding programming; I just learned what an array was at our last rtl event. :) -Iain (15 years ago, 2-Feb-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Development status

(...) I think we need to stick with 2.16.1, I don't know whether porting brickos to elf is really worth the trouble. Newer gcc versions would be nice, indeed, and brickos also builds fine with (some of?) these, but I never actually got it to run on (...) (15 years ago, 31-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

Hi all, This is great to see there's still some interest. I may not have opportunity to post over the next couple days, but I have created some patches against the latest Sourceforge CVS (as I believe there are a few differences between the CVS and (...)   Re: Development status

(...) From what I can tell, support for h8300-hitachi-hms(/coff) was dropped from binutils after 2.16.1. I have no real idea how much work it would take to port brickOS (plus brickemu, preferably) over to elf, but I suspect that it'd be a lot. (...)   Re: Robolab and Spybotics

(...) I don't know for certain but I would be a bit surprised if Robolab works with the Spybot bricks. There would have to have been a new release with modifications specifically made to support the Spybot. Searching these newsgroups suggests that (...)   Re: NQC for Linux/ASUS eeePC

(...) Normally people build NQC from sourcecode for Linux platforms so there has not been a binary release for Linux in the past. Does the eeePC include all the standard GNU development tools such as yacc, flex, and GCC? If it does then you can (...) (15 years ago, 27-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Development status

Michael, Carl, (...) I'm encouraged by your efforts Carl and I don't have time to do the gcc work so Michael, I'd like to take you up on your offer. I do have two of the RCX bricks and a number of USB/IR towers and Linux machines. Carl, I've limited (...) (15 years ago, 27-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

That's great news so far :-) Some time ago, however, I've tried to get brickOS to run on those old h8300 bricks, but it only seemed to work when using an old tool-chain (which is also the reason why the related packages never got (...)   Re: Robolab and Spybotics

(...) No language war intended, but for now I'd rather use Robolab. That said, if I change my mind I'd appreciate some tips on using MacNQC with Spybotics. Most of the stuff that I've seen on the web talks about using the regular RCX stuff. One of (...) (15 years ago, 26-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: Robolab and Spybotics

(...) I don't know if RoboLab will work with Spybotics, but if you have prior programming experience NQC may be a better option. It works great with Spybotics. Jetro (15 years ago, 26-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Robolab and Spybotics

Does anyone have any experience using Robolab with a Spybotics kit? I just got a couple of old Spybotics kits for my son this past Christmas and would love to program them with him using Robolab.   Re: NQC for Linux/ASUS eeePC
