NQC vs. NXC vs. MS-VC vs. RobotC

| |I downloaded RobotC from CMU - www-education.rec.ri.cmu.edu. It does |have a great long term potential. It does not have the capability to do |a lot of more advanced stuff though, such as events/interrupt. | |I'd like to compare 3 software in (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) That machine is ingenious. I like the way he has his RCX bricks communicating by traveling along with the assembly line. I also like the frame he made to hold the wheels while the body was pushed onto them. Brilliant. (...) This reply is (...)   Get Pixel Value Plotter

Dear Claude, Thanks you for your robot arm. (URL) I download the program and images of the arm so I can repeat the project? I decided to lay off getting RoboSoccer working opting out for a simple start. I want to build a x,y table using the Get (...) (18 years ago, 17-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  MacNQC on Intel anyone?

Hi, after replacing my PowerMac and iBook with a new Intel based iMac and MacBook respectively, I yesterday hit the small but noticeably issue to get MacNQC to run on it. While the Rosetta environment seems to run MacNQC reasonably fine, it may be (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Would this work?

(...) It was only ever really a theoretical project. And then I'd have to come up with a way of connecting possibly nine sensors. If you could control both the positive side and the negative side of the rcx connection you could multiplex 9 outputs (...) (18 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Would this work?

(...) Steve, I don't think connecting the two RCXs through power adaptors will work. I'm not sure the details, but I think the rectifiers in the RCXs will cause problems. To get a common ground, I *THINK* you could connect the negative side of the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Would this work?

I've spotted a slight flaw, fixed in this version. I've added 9 1x2 connector plates. (URL) (18 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

  Would this work?

I've wanted for a while now to utilise the particular characteristics of the 2x2 Lego plate connectors. To that end I've built an all Lego multiplexer. (URL) I'm wondering now will it actually work? The yellow connectors are the positive inputs, the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

problem running LNPD on Debian, LNP programs on the PC side

Hi everyone, I'm doing my thesis using Brickos and LNP on Debian, with a RCX 2.0 and an IR tower USB, LNP because I need to have a constant communication between the pc and several RCXs. I'm using brickos lnpd_0.9.0-1 stable, lnpd_0.9.0-1_i386.deb (...) (18 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

(...) Santa thinks I haven't played enough with my RCX since I got it, so he won't give me a NXT just yet. ;-) (...) Aside from some signedness warnings and a missing function for converting unsigned to float, brickOS compiles nicely with gcc HEAD. (...) (18 years ago, 25-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

(...) Still it is nice to see some activity :-) BTW: I've adopted Stephen's Debian packages, so there are new ones for those of you who are on Debian. Is there anything one could do to help? Best, Michael (18 years ago, 25-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

Hi Carl, I think we all want to get (or have it already) a NXT brick. BrickOS was not changed in the last year, as I remember. But it is a great way to do real programming and I wish to have someting like a nxtOS. :) (...) That sounds great for me. (...) (18 years ago, 24-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

Carl, Welcome! If you have the time and the interest we welcome your spending time on this. As you can tell there has not been much activity here in a while... ;-( (...) Regards, Stephen -- (18 years ago, 24-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Development status

Hey folks. I played around a bit with brickOS a couple of years ago but never got around to do anything serious. And now I thought I'd look into it again, if only for the joy of low-level coding. So I noticed, like others before me, that brickOS (...) (18 years ago, 23-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: BricxCC ver 3.3.7.15 templates dont appear

Re: BricxCC ver 3.3.7.15 templates dont appear

(...) Thanks for the reply. I tried as you suggested but no success. I then went to the default folder opened template.txt, in notepad, then copied all its contents and pasted it into the box opened above. This seems to have worked. David Liddell (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: BricxCC ver 3.3.7.15 templates dont appear

(...) Hi David, I got them to show by going to edit / preferences / templates, and clicking the "default" button. I don't know if this is the "official" way but it worked for me :) ROSCO (18 years ago, 19-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
