FYI: The simple-rover example uses an unsafe test value for touch sensors. Touch sensor should be tested against <0xf000, NOT <0x2000 (e.g. simple-rover.c) Reason: Not pressed has a constant value >0xf000. Pressed varies depending on battery change, (...) The Mindstorms RCX Code software does the exact same thing as the code you listed, the only caveat is I think RCX Code uses power settings from 1 to 8 while NQC uses 0 to 7.
