I've just re-read Sivan Toledo's "Analysis of the NXT Bluetooth
Communication
Protocol" tacked on the main lugnet.robotics.nxt main page.

I am currently in a PC lab (Portland State Univ NH 439) with 9 bright kids.
We
have about 24 NXT kits at our disposal.  Three pairs of NXT's are being
worked
on by kids trying to use Bluetooth.  We are having all sorts of problems in
terms of the slave not reacting to the master.

The programs are pretty simple. On the master, a numberic variable is
incremented by the NXT-right button and decremented by the NXT-left button.
Pressing the NXT-Enter button sends the message. After 0.1 second wait, the
program loops back. The number is displayed on the NXT screen.

The slave loops about a Receive Message block which feeds a numeric value
switch.  I have a sample program that counts off "zero" to "nine" on the
slave
NXT indicating which number was received.

This shows the kids how the basic process works.  They have taken the sample
program and expanded/modified it.

Unfortunately we seem to be having issues with either dropped messages or
radio
inteference.

How can I test if the messages are being dropped or not transmitted?

(...) To answer the question, we're using NXT-G. But that was last week's summer camp. This week seems to take 3 pairs of Bluetooth battlebots just fine. (16 years ago, 10-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
