If anyone is still listening to suggestions, I would like to have the ability to spawn a thread. I don't know how threads are handled in NXT-G, but in NBC, there is no way to create a thread to kick off a task while moving on to other tasks in the (...) (...) You're right. IOMapRead and IOMapWrite are very slow functions. They're slow because you pass a character string for the name of the module you want to access; the NXT-G firmware runs through the list of modules looking for a match on the (...)
