Dirk,
Without actually seeing your icb function, it would be hard to determine exactly what is going on. But here are some guesses:
1) When you are modifying control registers in MC, make sure that you use bit
commands so that you don't set or erase bits that another routine may need to
control a pin.
2) Don't change the prescaler bits. IC needs them, but most notably any timing
routines such as IR decoding need them to be set correctly.
3) If you are adding a time event to TOC4 be sure and add it correctly so that
your function gets added to the list rather than replacing it completely. I
suspect this is not your problem since you would see a lot more problems but
this is a list of things that you should watch out for while writting an icb
file.
