Hi all,
I am trying to have the handy board communicate with a miniboard. I found
that using peeks and pokes at the SPI port takes about 500 cycles to do a
single read char, so I tried writing the communication software in assembly.
In this case, the time for communication was only cut in half, whereas I was
expecting a 5 fold increase. So I have two questions for anyone who can
answer them:
1) Is it possible to get the communication between 2 6811s to go much faster?
2) Can I use, for example, a digital port input as a busy flag to speed
things up? If so, where are the digital ports located? I think I saw them
once in pcode.asm when the Mac didn't crash for a few moments. Are they at
7F00?
Thanks,
-Dirk
