Hi all

We at the TWI (School of engineering, www.twi.ch) in Switzerland are
using the Handyboard for several projects. One of them is a model car
with ultrasonic sensors and model servos.
Because of some limitations of the Handyboard we have built a
expansionboard which we are redesigning right now. We hope to be able to
present the reworked salesversion of the board in the beginning of
february 98.
The board has the following features.

Hardware:
-8 Servo ports
-16 digital I/O
-CAN 2.0B controller (Intel AN82527) With this 2-wire-bus many
handyboards are able to communicate with each other.
-Multi purpose motion controller (HCTL 1100 , HP)
-Capable of measuring pulsewidth and wavelength from 10 different
sources with a range of 35us up to 30ms (30HZ-25kHZ)

Software:
-Driver for all of the above
-Additional drivers for 2 ultrasonic sensors
-Driver for a Futaba piezo Gyro to measure angle movement

In the near future we will also build CAN moduls to allow control of
bigger robots.

Now I wonder wether there are any people interested in such an
expansionboard or not. Please tell me what you think about it ......

Thanks to all,

Tom Hauri , TWI, Switzerland
