[Re: my serialio.c and conio.c libraries]

They're working great for me, no such problems.  I can send/receive and
decode characters into numbers very easily.  I've got my HB hooked up to a
486 DX2/66 running Linux, using some simple C serial routines to
communicate with the board.

This is good to hear...if there is anyone else out there using
the routines, with either success or failure stories, please let me know.

One design issue I wasn't really certain of...I wasn't sure whether
or not the serial_putchar() and serial_getchar() functions (in serialio.c)
should have (intrisic to the functions) the disable_serial() and enable_
serial() functions, or whether the user should manage the enable/disable
separately.  Such as, disable, then transmit all your data, then enable.
I left it as the latter (the user should write his own wrapper).  Any
thoughts/comments on whether it should be the former?
