I downloaded the source code sony-ir.asm and assembled with asii_ic.bat and
the resulting .icb file worked fine. I jumped the gun asking for help.
Thanks any way.

Ram.

I'm having trouble getting sony-ir.icb to load.  Every time I try, I get
the following error message:

                         FATAL INTERNAL ERROR:
                         ILLEGAL LINE IN .s19 FILE

I've re-downloaded and installed both the sony-ir.icb and pcode_hb.s19
files but continure to get the error.  What's the problem?

Thanks
Jules

ic is very sensitive to linefeed termination in icb files.  if you are
runnnin on an ms-dos system, i believe it requires unix style (e.g.,
ctrl-j) termination, rather than ms-dos ctrl-m ctrl-j style.

try removing the ctrl-m's from your copy of the .icb file.

I am having the same problem and I am using the sony-ir.icb that I
downloaded from the ftp site cher.media.mit.edu in the directory
/pub/incoming/ic_contrib/mccap. When I type load sony-ir.icb, I get the
error that was reported earlier (Illegal line in .s19file).

Since I downloaded the file directly (not cut paste and save from the web),
I have not made any changes to it to cause this problem.

In adddition, I have downloaded and used david negro's rec80-ir.icb and it
works just fine.

Did others have this problem? How was it resolved?

Thanks in advance.

Ram
