Help! I've purchased the Polaroid Sonar OEM kit, plugged them in in
accordance to Kent's instructions and using his software, but if I plug in
BINH through a 360 Ohm resistor or with no resisitor, all I get is 1 - 2".
If I unplug it, I get fluctuating numbers, with a minimum of 17". It seems
to work alright at distances from 17" - 24", but the numbers seem to
fluctuate between the actual number and 17". If I move to greater than 24",
the fluctuations are so frequent and random, I can't get a reading.I've
tried putting tissue on the back of the transducer, but that doesn't seem
to help. Is the ticking sound normal? I would appreciate any help anyone
could give as my time is running short.
