I successfully downloaded hbdl (thanks for fixing it, Fred!) and ran
into some problems when trying to use it. When I try to download a file to
the board, as soon as I click "yes" that the board is ready, the program
tells me that the board is in the wrong mode, or not receiving the data. At
the same instant, the handy board comes out of special bootstrap mode. (The
PWR LED turns on.) This leads me to belive that the timing of the program
may be too slow. Fred Martin has mentioned that the E series HC11's have
very strict timing on their download functions, and hbdl probably can't keep
up with it. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?
