i'm looking for a sensor that will give me a distance to a large mass over
a fairly long distance (i.e. 1ft - 100ft or greater).  i plan on using this
in a model helicopter to range the distance to the ground, and to interface
it with one of the HB's analog inputs. any recommendations of a good one
that won't be easily interferred with by the helo's vibration/noise? cost
isn't an issue...

The Polaroid sensor (50-60 KHz, 1.5-30 feet but maybe more from the
air?) is $49 (minumum two) direct from Polaroid.  They are in the FAQ or
I can look up the ordering stuff if you are interested.  There is plenty
of documentation for using the Polaroid DIGITAL output (goes low when
echo received) as an input into Handyboard.
