Hello all:
We saw the recent message, same sub.  We got our handyboard from Digital
Micro
a couple of days before the holidays.  We had a great time building the
boards.
The kit is excellent.  The instructions are great - even for novices like
us.
Thanks guys.
We found some of the same problems reported by Byrom:
  - hbdl came back with Wrong port or board mode.
After a while, we figured out that our I/C board was connected to COM3.  We
used
the icb3.1 from Randy Sargent.  Once it was told that we had COM3, it took
off and
worked great.
It was a pleasure to see "Hello, world!" displaying  out on the LCD.
We, too, have noted the misprint for J15.  This is minor.
One of the resistors - 2.2 Meg that goes across the oscillator, X1, was
missing from
the kit.  We don't have an oscilloscope.  We went ahead hoping that the
signal from
the crystal would be ok, inspite of the missing resistor.  It has worked -
so far.
Best Regards,
...Ameen & Usman Suleman
