I am wanting to add speech to the Handy Board. I am currently looking at interfacing a SPO256-AL2 speech synthesizer chip and have a very limited schematic that came with the chip many years ago. hello! I pulled out my HB today and rtied playing around with the IR port. it does not work for some reasons. I checked the remotes: they are still transmitting! The handyboard has to stay in special test mode so that it can switch into and out of 'single chip' mode at will.
