So, when will the results be available?
As a participant in the code-only category I'm very curious how my program did,
but I didn't see anything about the line tracking event yet,
neither on the webcast nor among your pictures nor on the website.

The results of all but the code-only line tracking can be found on
http://www.workshop3d.com/rcx.  The reason you won't find the code-only
results there (yet) is that we didn't have time to complete all three runs.
In fact, we only completed one run of the robots.  Note that lighting
conditions at the competition made the line-tracking task particularly
difficult.  Most of these robots completed a test line without problems.

Here are the *unofficial* times for the first run.

The following robots completed the entire line:

Nathan Nesbit                     37.7 seconds
T. Alexander Popiel            1 min 33 seconds
Steve Hassenplug                18.5 seconds
Martin Egholm Nielsen       20.6 seconds
Doug Bell                             22 seconds

The following robots got lost partway.  We counted how many corners they
managed to navigate, and how long it took them to get there.  Had no one
completed the line, the winner would be whoever got the furthest (# of
corners) and if there was a tie still, then whoever got to that corner fastest.

David Duke                         9 corners/33 seconds
Thurman Gillespy               8 corners/35 seconds
Joerg Pohl                            29 corners/40 seconds
Dan Gamble                         10 corners/1 min 10 seconds

The following robots didn't get to the first corner.

Sophia Dichomides             -
Jürgen Stuber                       -

The final two runs will likely be done in the store of one of the sponsors,
probably this weekend.  Someone will post the complete results afterwards.
Fortunately the lighting conditions there will likely be an improvement, and
we hope the robots will likewise behave better.
