| Hi everyone Have the same problem as others. After migrating my system to W2K, the VC does not work. RIS 1.5 works fine. Wrote an e-mail to Lego, but ... still waiting for the answer. | Yes, I replaced the batteries on both towers. The fact that both towers are trashed with similar failure modes (although one now doesn't receive at all) and stopped working at approximately the same time suggests an external agent causing the (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| Well, it would be nice if Lego would make this "update" available on-line. AFAIK, this update is only on the RIS 2.0 CD. Perhaps, you could order the RIS 2.0 updgrade from Lego. I suppose this update was to make VCS compatible with RIS 2.0 which (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

| NQC may work with Windows 3.xx if Win32s is installed. When I figure out where I put that old 3.xx machine or two, I'll try it out. There are two Lego Mindstorms sets to consider: The Robotics Invention Systems (RIS) cost about $200 each and contain a ton of Lego Technics parts, a light sensor, to 'bump sensors' (switched) and two motors. | It will take some advance planning on your part. Remember, LEGO Systems are made up of hundreds of small parts and none of them may be lost.
