A friend of mine did, but couldn't get the timing to work out well, so he
bought another set in order to get another light sensor and made a parallel
"sync track" along side the data track. That seems to work quite well for
his makeshift (nonstandard) barcoding needs -- programmed scripts for his
wheeled robot.
