programming meeting (details below).

The NYPC Users Group's C++ and Java SIG presents a special meeting:

Speakers:
Jonathan Knudsen author of "The Unofficial Guide to LEGO
MINDSTORMS Robots", "Java 2D Graphics", "Java Cryptography" and
an editor at O'Reilly and Associates.
Dario Laverde, author of a RCX Java API used to communicate with
the Lego Mindstorms as well as the Advanced Java study group leader
for the C++ and Java SIG.
Topic: Lego Mindstorms Robots
An introduction and overview to the Lego Mindstorms Robotics Invention
System, a wildly popular kit for building mobile robots, as well as the
various programming environments used to program the RCX, the brain of
the Lego Mindstorms Robot. Featuring a report on the recent Lego
Mindstorm festival, MindFest held at the MIT Media Lab in October,
programming topics including NQC and Java, and of course a live demo
of the Lego Mindstorm robots.
Also available at the meeting will be copies of Jonathan Knudsen's
"The Unofficial Guide to LEGO MINDSTORMS Robots" at a big discount!
