     The Scout (from the Robotics Discovery System) doesn't have a power connector either. It is quite possible that the decision to remove the power connector from Mindstorms products was made during the development of the Scout. There was only a single (...) I guess TLG still tries to aim their product at children => Childres build cars => Cars cannot be plugged in and drive at the same time => Remove connector because it is not needed => lower production cost.
