I have managed to multiplex motor output before.
How about building a single motor powered tricycle
device with the second motor steering the front wheel.
Then use the front wheel at right-angles position, detected
by a touch sensor, to change gears on the drive motor from
powering the wheels to driving a fan or something to
blow out the candle?
Just a passing thought!
