Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and was wondering if anyone has the
information I need. 1)Who makes the UCN 5804 Uni-polar stepper driver and is
it still made? 2)Where is a good place to find a wide selection of hobby size
stepper motors on a budget? 3) Are their any driver chips that will allow me
to input a digital value and get the correct corresponding Pulse Width
Modulated output to drive a hobby servo like Futaba, etc.? 4) Where can I find
gears to mount to stepper motors and matching gear sets?

Any help would really guide me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
Nayan

(...) There is probably no ready-to use chip to control a servo with a digital value. But you have two solutions : 1. Try to program a pulse width modulated signal output. You need a fast "brain"... 2. With an digital to analog converter and a 555 (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
