Thanks but:
No more diffs left I had to use two in the adder subtractor for the drive!
I've a load of old style diffs but they are real awkward to use and hard to
fit into a model except at the place where the were original designed to
fit (between driven wheels on vehicles with rack a pinnon steering)
maybe I should get a few more of new type

Using a differential is probably the way you want to go. I've done a scoop
and
lift this way (front loader style. Using the old technic motor, I could
scoop,
grasp and lift a Lego horse. I could have done more with better gearing.
The
Lego with the camera featured in the RCX commercials employs a similar
technique with the differential.
