I have gotten the Spirit OCX working just fine and can do the interactive stuff no problem using VB. What is confusing me a bit is how to get the polling working correctly when I download a program. Does anyone  have any VB code the code post that does the following? I'd really appreciate it.  Also, I am decent VB programmer and I also am handy with C. Is there any advantage to using NQC to using VB? Any thoughts I'd appreciate.

Set Sensor on 1 to a touch sensor
while Sensor 1 is off
  go forward while checking sensor
loop

if Sensor is On
  stop motors
  back up
  turn left
  reverse direction
  continue
end if

Also, If anyone has a good steering mechanism they'd like to share I would appreciate it. I have on the Mindstorm set and I wanted to try and make a steering assembly cause I don't have much luck changing directions with 2 motors and thought I'd have better luck with 1 driving motor and 1 steering motor.
