I guess I have to wonder why there is such a shortage? You'd think TLG
would want to sell all they can make. Poor forecasting on their part, or
is there some part that is in short supply?
(you can't just snap your fingers and get 100000 more units, it takes
time and planning.)

| (...) I read a quote somewhere (sorry can't remember where) from a Lego spokesperson saying that they were taken by surprise by the demand. As you say, I can't imagine them not wanting to sell all they can. (26 years ago, 5-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics)

| If my memory serves me well Lego only put out 70.000 mindstorm units for this year. There was an article about MS in last sunday's edition of the AZ Republic (sept 27). So there might be truth in the fact that there is going to be a shortage. Who (...) (26 years ago, 3-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics)
