Let me try to help here...
1. What program are you using to communicate with the RCX? If its
HyperTerminal (bundled with win95/98) then once in a while the
RCX tower or the program gets confused and you have to reopen
the profile you saved as RCX-COMM (or whatever)
2. Is the green light in the RCX tower on when you press VIEW?
If not, then there is no way for the terminal program to figure
out what the RCX is sending you, since the tower is off. To verify
this, press any key in your terminal program and watch the light
go on. Don't touch any more keys and the light will turn off.
3. To fix 2, you need to feed the RCX tower with characters so
that it knows to keep looking for the RCX messages.
Hmmm, I KNOW this is done to conserve power in tower, but what if
some fearless soul figured out how to disable this "feature"???
