I was inspired by the previous threads on the three wheel synchro drive
robot to take another stab at this type robot design. I have had several
failures in the past at getting a mobile and *useful* design out of the
synchro platform. By useful I mean powerful enough to move about the house
without assistance, etc.
My second successful attempt is at http://rich.cmcsmart.com and it
incorporates IR radar for navigation, rotation sensors for directional
awareness, enough power to move at a fast clip and enough torque to overcome
the infamous hardwood floor to carpet transition area.
