For some of the newer people on the list, I want to mention Doug
Carlson's synchro drive site. It has a collection of some of the neatest
robotic drive platforms I have seen so far. They are more than
complicated enough for the gearheads to get into and a challenge for the
programmers too. Of course they take about a hundred 3 SLU axles and a
equally high number of gears in each manifestation of the concept. But
it's pretty cool stuff. Take a look at
