Addison Wesley actually did this with [half of] the content of last year's book
_Effective_Perl_Programming_

(They even put those pages up before the book appeared in stores.) This may
have been done this so that people could see online before their very eyes that
it's actually a well-written book. (It's the only good non-O'Reilly book on
Perl. :-)
It's not out of the question that ORA might actually make some portion of
Jonathan's LEGO MindStorms book available for perusal online... For example,
you can currently check out the entire contents of Chapter 1 of the
_Palm_Pilot_ book...
