Hello,
Several people have expressed interest in seeing
a CDROM packaged with the Mindstorms book.
Such a CDROM would contain things like NQC,
legOS, RcxCC, and links to Mindstorms
Web pages.
My gut feeling is that there's no point: the software
will be out of date soon after you publish the
thing, and it's all available online anyhow. I can
see there would be some value in packaging the
URLs for the book so you wouldn't have to retype
them, but it's hard to justify adding to the cost
of the book for that reason alone.
My question is this: to CD or not to CD? Would you
prefer to see a CD bundled with the book, or would
you just prefer to have URLs listed in the book and
get stuff online? Please respond to me personally so
we don't clog up the list. I'll summarize the results
if you're interested.
Thanks,
Jonathan

| Sorry for cloggin the list... Why not have a book-related website, give the URL to the site in the book, and post the links on the site? That way, the links could be updated occasionally, adding value for everyone. And it's not like most of the (...) (26 years ago, 18-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
