The EV3's motor block can move a servo x number of degrees in a given direction,
and the motor stops when it reaches this target.  It then continues on to the
next block in the program.

Some time ago, HiTechnic released a block for NXT that would allow you do
absolute positioning by entering a destination (rather than a delta).

Additionally, there was functionality there to "chase" a traveling position - I
used this to do some math and synch up servos running to different target
positions but all arriving at the same time.  This is useful, for example, in
making a 2-axis cartesian robot trace a circle; another section of the program
does the interpolation, spitting out target positions which the two motors
should chase in order to trace out the circle.

Anything like that in EV3?

Also, any way to accelerate/decelerate a motor?

Thanks!

PS - The "Medium" motor, I think, is the greatest thing to come along in LEGO
for the past 20 years.
