Have you investigated speeding it up by unlinking the 2 sorter levels, ie move the top level for the next ball while the bottom level is still positioned for the current ball? I initially thought I would have to do that, but actually in this design the speed limitation comes from the ball splitter mechanism (in the NXC version it runs full speed without stopping). I have not tried with alkaline (...) (15 years ago, 28-Dec-09, to lugnet.robotics)
