I've posted my schematic diagrams of selected NXT items, namely the Light, Sound
and Ultrasound sensors and the motor with position feedback.

Credit to Philippe Hurbain for sketching the motor circuit for me to write up.

These schematics are estimates taken from looking at the circuit board. As such
they are not proprietary to TLG, and I have permission from the TLG NXT group to
publish them. The estimates do contain some small errors, so check out anything
you're unsure of.

I believe TLG will publish the full official schematics later this year, as part
of the open-source policy. It's open-source hardware, as well as firmware this
time.

There's also a circuit idea of mine, using the motor position feedback input to
measure the position of a slider independently of the motor itself, using a
magnet and reed switches:
