The LEGO Ambassadors have been authorized to release the system requirements for
NXT. They are as follows...
Windows
Intel® Pentium® processor or compatible, 800 MHz minimum
Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with Service Pack 2
256MB of RAM minimum
Up to 300MB of available hard-disk space
XGA display (1024x768)
1 available USB port
CD-ROM drive
Compatible Bluetooth adapter (optional)*
Macintosh
PowerPC® G3, G4, G5 processor, 600 MHz minimum
Apple MacOS X v. 10.3.9 or 10.4
256MB of RAM minimum
Up to 300MB of available hard-disk space
XGA display (1024x768)
1 available USB port
CD-ROM drive
Compatible Bluetooth adapter (optional)*
*) Supported Bluetooth software are Widcomm® Bluetooth for Windows newer than v.

It is still a shame there is no Linux solution in sight, but maybe once it is in the wild they will come from those who created other tools that acheived this on the RCX. Just out of interest, will it be using Shockwave (...) (19 years ago, 1-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics)
