here's a question to boggle some minds

ok here's what i'm trying to do, i have the remote control module from the
supersonic racer set and i'm trying to connect it to the input port of the rcx
and then having it output to the motors.  i dont know if i can do this without
burning out my rcx (again).  i've got a question or 2

1. has anyone done this ?
2. How would the rcx read the input value? and is there anyway to calibrate it
so that theres no negative numbers?

well, hopefully i can experiment some more

Well, as a guy who continuously puts 9 volt conenctions on the sensor ports on
the RCX (LDCC--love ya lots!!!), what you have to do is separate the wires
connecting the RC port and the RCX sensor port with light bricks--

http://home.surewest.net/markril/lego/dcc/beta.html

Scroll down until you see the light bricks.  Set up the wires exactly as you see
there or you risk burning out your sensor port on the RCX.

This limits the power going to the sensor port.

I've never tried the RC unit, but seeing as how it uses 6 AA batteries--that's 9
volts, much like the track powered by DCC.

As for the values, I'd just put the sensor port on RAW and see what happens.

Hoe that helps.
