It's interesting the screen of the nxt appears to be blanked out by
photoshop in those pictures.

Well, there's another page to look at: http://www.nxtbot.com/ It looks like
you can see a little bit of detail on the LCD screen (dimly, it looks like a
row
of icons across the bottom, and a line across the top with *perhaps* some very
small icons above it - status?). More interesting, the NXT blog mentions that
the NXT is menu-driven on the brick itself! Now *that* would be a step up from
the RCX... and it would tend to imply a lot more on-brick interaction for the
NXT.

I saw the specs for the NXT LCD screen are 60x100, and the display is
monochrome (obviously).

Interestingly enough if you search for thatm you will find the most
common use for this size of screen is in GPS units.

Anyone know what screen/controller their GPS uses?

Here is a vendor PDF for one EVERBOUQUET/WAYTON (MG1060A):
http://www.diamondelec.co.uk/data/pdf_support/mg1060a.PDF
"Manufacturer: EBI"
"Description: Overall size: 41.0 x 40.0 x 7.0mm, Viewing area: 34.0 x
25.0mm, Controller: Built-in SED1560, various backlight options"

Would that be close to the NXT display dimensions?
