My students are building the Rolling Ball Clock and we are in desperate
need of 20 soccer balls (X45PX1).

If anyone knows where I can find these, please let me know.  Bricklink
doesn't have a single one.

You might want to try searching for the more common X45PB03 type. They turn up a lot more results in searches, and there is a good supply on hand. (19 years ago, 5-Oct-05, to lugnet.robotics)
