Not quite a swarm, but I ran a student project a couple of years
ago with the aim of simulating herding sheep. A robotic dog that
"barked" and robotic sheep that were more or less frightened
of the dog depending on how near it was. It was a fun idea
but getting a decent sense of proximity was very difficult.
Having a good practical swarm project would be something I
would like to try as I have loads of RCX bricks to play with.
