I think this would work for you - I have one and it's pretty
good. You can strip off that plastic shield and separate the
battery from the camera. The camera itself is then about right
for your application. You can see from the photo that it's
smaller than a 9v battery.
It broadcasts on normal TV frequencies so you can tune any TV
to see what it sees.
