I tried searching for the data sheet on the RCX motor
controllers. The closest fit I can find to the ELEX10402B
number from the .jpg images from the
http://www.crynwr.com/lego-robotics site is a motor controller
manufactured by Melexis, the MEX10402. The physical description
seems to fit the application (16 pin SOIC, direct
microcontroller compatible, direct drive to small DC motors, H
bridge control, current limited to 500mA, temperature protected
at 150 degC), but I'm not sure if this is actually the part.
Can anyone confirm that this is the right device? The spec
sheet can be found at:
http://melexis.crusoes.com/site/products/10402/f_10402.htm
BTW, Thanks to all who responded to my brick bonding query.
Have fun,
Dave
