Does anyone have any of those ultrasonic range sensors? (like out of an old
Polaroid camera?). I'd expect it to be reasonably easy to use this to
detect distance to an object. These have become pretty accurate recently
and could be used to evaluate relative movement.
Get range to whatever object is in front of the robot - move until range is
1 foot shorter.
I guess without having some idea how the information is returned from the
sensor it's hard to tell. But you have to admit it's a cool idea.
