Yes, I'm scared that this might be true also.
Unfortunately, I think (though I have no evidence) that LEGO sees
lack of interest by kids as 'kids think it's too complicated or too
hard to use' whereas I think that many of the kids that this type
of thing would appeal to just think that it is 'too simple, too
limiting, and too frustrating' -- Much like we do.
Like I said in my first post, There are kids who might play with
LEGO some but do get distracted easily, and then there are the type
of kid who won't ever be able to get enough of LEGO and (if courted
properly) will continue to buy and use it well into adulthood.
