I have a one of a kind sensor looking for a good home.
It is an IR detector. Cool.
It is so sensitive that it only works in almost complete darkness. Not so cool.
It's sensitivity peaks in the well known 850nm region although it can "see"
sources like filiment bulbs and flames very well. It can see the light
reflected back from a wall from a somewhat modest flashlight beam from more
than 20 feet away.
This sensor is a prototype, although it's smartly finished in a 2x2 red
brick. It is wholly unsuited to the purpose for which it was designed - you
can't win 'em all ;)
So, if you have a use for such a sensor, let me know and it's yours. Sorry,
but there really is only one.
